Dad

You're like rain, we meet once a year
After some weeks, you seem to disappear.
Time runs out very fast, my tick-tock's broken
It's really difficult to keep close every word spoken.

What you bring with yourself is a sack of joy,
I feel like a wealthy pirate, shouting "AHOY!"
Even in the ordinary chores you do,
I have a nostalgic moment, deja vu..

I know, it's irritating, the prickly heat,
But alas it's your home with a special 'Hot Seat'.
It gets a little sticky when the dog licks you
But come on, she deserves it, let her through!

How do you feel, sire? You finally get to drive,
I see your driving skills have started to thrive!
Enjoyed eating mangoes as much as you wished?
Take some along if you can, I insist.

I wish we could see the sky with our telescope,
I could see you always, I hope.
Even though everyone was dying to see their man,
I was trying to stand first, doing all I can.

I hope that these 15 days gave you all the love you need
I wish you a happy journey and godspeed
Also a Happy Father's Day to the best dad!
I tell you this was the best time of my life I ever had

Boy I'd seen

There was this boy I had seen
He seemed nice, but quiet and keen
He was sitting all covered in green
Against a tree about to lean.

There was this boy I had seen
This time he was confusing, behaved mean
Couldn't believe to the same guy I'd been
Was so rude as if he was the son of a Dean

Next when I saw him was in a shrine
He was sitting there, broken and crying;
Was writhing as if struck by a porcupine
He was expecting sympathy, while he did whine
I wanted him the way he was before, like a star used to shine

I wish the power of gods would combine
and grant him the finest boon, divine!
Return his smile, the cute curved line
Let him be prosperous and live fine.

I know he has a wonderful brain
Lose all his pain and learn to gain
Have his life catching speed like a train
Be his shield in the pouring rain.

We should meet again,
Down the town in the lane
But I don't want that quiet boy, sitting all plain.

He should be happy and showing his sass
All of our hearts he may amass
Should be laughing as if breathed the laughing gas,
Dancing with loud music to the full bass
